Racquet Stringing

I am passionate about stringing racquets. I learned the art in the summer of 1979 in South Burlington, Vermont. I have strung for recreational players, club players and pros. I pride myself on my consistency and attention to detail.

I have two stringing machines. A Prince 6000 electronic machine and a Prince Neos 1500. I have taken the Prince Neos to the streets to string out in public on numerous occasions.  My Tag line is "Only The String Touches The Ball" I am able to help you choose strings and string set ups. If your wrist, elbow or shoulder hurt during or after you play, it could be your strings.

Handcrafted Caps

I have always worn a cap of some sort. In November of 2015 a friend gave me a used sewing machine. I took a few of my cycling caps and deconstructed them. Designed a template and began to learn to sew. I used the plastic from a small chocolate milk container for the brim because of its flexibility and durability. It took a good forty to fifty tries to get the cap to fit like I wanted it to. I then purchased a serger to make frayed fabric look cleaner. In the course of this I learned about different fabrics; mostly cottons and the different weights and qualities that they came in. I also learned to combine different fabrics to build a cap. Each cap was in itself is a one of a kind. I chose to only purchase one yard or less of a fabric. There is so much fabric out there. Even if I wanted to I could not make two identical caps. Similar although none identical. I know that essentially these are simply head coverings although I see them as my art. My outward creative expression. I am the only one involved in their creation after I have purchased the materials. Their uniqueness is reflected in their pricing.  

Stickers/Decals

I'm not really in the sticker printing business. These are a series of twenty stickers/decals that I designed and had printed in December of 2003. These are  some that I still have from that initial printing that are now considered vintage or classics. When these are all gone there will be no more printed.

My Philosophy

When I string I use the best available. When I sew I use the best fabrics and threads. The stickers were printed on a very high quality vinyl that has lasted more than two decades at this point.

I have a very fast turnaround when I string your racquet. Typically twenty four hours or less.

The caps that I sell have already been sewn. I call it sell what's on the truck. I get nervous to sew someone a custom cap as it might not come out as they expect or imagined.

The stickers are already printed. When they sell out it will be the last of them.
